"In August 2015 we had what we can only describe as a tiling disaster. We have a large home with approximately 130 square metres of tiles downstairs.

One evening 2 rows of tiles ‘tented’ up, apparently caused by expansion / contraction in the concrete slab, and one of the tiles broke into several pieces. We had a tiler come in to inspect the damage and hopefully fix it. He told us that the tiles, which were made in Spain over 25 years ago, are no longer available and in fact tiles this size are no longer available in Australia. As the damage is in a high traffic area and highly visible we were facing having to remove all the tiles and replace them. When we estimated the costs of taking up the tiles, preparing the slab for retiling, cost of tiles and cost of laying the new tiles it would be 10’s of thousands of dollars. We were devastated and didn’t know what we were going to do. 


We got on the internet and googled ‘tenting’ to see if we could find an alternative and by chance came across Barefoot Floors website. Out of curiosity, with very little hope of a positive outcome I sent them a message through the website. The following day Steve phoned to say he was working in the area and could come on Saturday and repair the damage. We had a party on Saturday night we couldn’t cancel, but Steve assured us it would all be done and dusted and ready to walk on in plenty of time. We really thought it was too good to be true, and were very sceptical, but with the other option out of the question we thought we’d have nothing to lose, so we decided to give it a go.

Steve arrived on time on Saturday, and not only repaired the broken tile and relayed the ‘tented’ tiles, he fixed many of the drummy tiles in the house. We were so impressed and satisfied with his work that we asked him back a second time to fix all the remaining drummy tiles in the house. Steve was a pleasure to deal with and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend his services."

This excellent service has been the better solution to an exasperating problem. The alternative would have been a total tile replacement at a huge cost.

Thankyou so very much for the work done at our place. After having tilers at our place for a number of weeks laying tiles outside the dust noise and mess had been driving us crazy. It was so nice to have our internal drummy tiles fixed with the minimum of fuss. We were thinking that we would be having to replace up to 3-400sq mt of internal tiling as we couldn’t match our tiles and so we were amazed and very happy to have them all re-glued/sealed to the floor without any of the dusty mess, noise and stress. Would highly recommend this to anyone with drummy or lifting tiles, as this was huge money saving, stress free and mess free process. We didn’t have to move all the furniture and we didn’t even have to leave the house. 17 square metres of internal and external tiles repaired in the day.
